Maserati is a multinational automobile manufacturer company which mostly produced luxury vehicle. The company established on 1 December, 1914, in Bologna. The Company headquartered is situated in Medona, Italy. The key people of the company are Sergio Marchionne (Chairman), Reid Big land (CEO). The production output of the company in 2016 was 42,100 units, 32,474 units produced since 2015. In 2016, the revenue of the company was €3.479 billion and €2.411 billion in 2013.

It has possessed by the Italian-American car giant Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and FCA Italian predecessor Fiat S.p.A. in 1993. At First the vehicle Maserati was related with Ferrari S.P.A., which was also possessed by FCA till off since 2015, but more freshly it has been turn into part of the sports car group including Alfa Romeo and Abarth. Maserati presents with the Maserati GranTurismo, the GranTurismo Convertible, and proved that it will be offering the Maserati Levante, the first Maserati SUV, in 2016, and the Maserati Alfieri, a new 2+2 in 2016. Maserati is established a production output cap at 75,000 vehicles all over world.

 

History

In the starting of 20th Century, the Maserati brothers, Alfieri, Bindo, Carlo, Ettore, and Ernesto they were involved with automobiles. Alfieri, Bindo and Ernesto manufactured 2-litre Grand Prix cars for Diatto. In 1926, Diatto suspended the production of race cars, leading to the creation of the first Maserati and the founding of the Maserati marque. One of the first Maseratis, driven by Alfieri, won the 1926 Targa Florio. Maserati starts to make racing cars with 4, 6, 8 and 16 cylinders (two straight-eights mounted equivalent to each other). The trident logo of the Maserati car company is based on the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna's Piazza Maggiore. In 1932, Alfieri Maserati died, but three other brothers, Bindo, Ernesto and Ettore, kept the firm continued creating cars that won races.

 

Orsi ownership

Maserati worked in fierce competition to construct a V16 town car for Benito Mussolini before Ferry Porsche of Volkswagen creates one for Adolf Hitler. This failed, and the plans were ended. Once peace was restored, Maserati come back to creating cars, the Maserati A6 series did well in the post-war racing scene. A new team at Maserati worked on many projects and the 4CLT, the A6 series, the 8CLT, and, pivotally for the future success of the company, the A6GCS. The famous Argentinian driver Juan-Manuel Fangio raced for Maserati for a number of years in the 1950s, creating a number of stunning victories including winning the world championship in 1957 in the Maserati 250F alongside Toulo de Graffenried, Louis Chiron, Prince Bira, Enrico Plate, and a few others. Other racing projects in the 1950s were the 200S, 300S (with several famous pilots, among them Benoit Musy), 350S, and 450S, followed in 1961 by the famous Tipo 61.

 

Citroen ownership

The Maserati was taken over by French car manufacturer Citroen in 1968, Adolfo Orsi remained the nominal president, but Maserati changed a great deal. The relationship with Citroen evoked as a joint venture, made public in January 1968.

 

Fiat ownership

Maserati new session started of Maserati's history when the company issued the 3200 GT. This two-door coupe is motorized by a 3.2 L twin-turbocharged V8 derived from the Shamal engine, which produces 370 hp (276 kW).

 

The Maserati and Alfa Romeo Group under Fiat Group

The Maserati and Alfa Romeo group, under Fiat Group, started in 2005, when Maserati was split off from Ferrari and joined with Alfa Romeo. On 9 June 2005, the 20,000th Maserati, the Quattroporte, left the factory. In the second quarter of 2007, Maserati made profit for the first time in 17 years under Fiat ownership.

Maserati Quattroporte :

The sixth generation Maserati Quattroporte released in 2013. It was 4-door sporting, Italian luxury saloon. It was available with the S Q4, GTS and Diesel trim. It’s presented in twin-turbo V6 engine produces 404 hp. The GTS is rear wheel drive, and has a 523-hp V8.

 

Maserati Ghibli :

 

The first presentation of Ghibli was appeared since 20 April 2013 in Shanghai. It is a sporting/luxury executive saloon and its competitors was BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class or Audi A6, Ghibli comes with 330 hp, the Ghibli Diesel with 275 hp.

 

Maserati Levante :

In 2014, the Maserati Levante is a crossover SUV introduced. It has been likely with the Maserati Kubang concept SUV in September 2003 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and again in 2011. The Levante was presented with 3.0L V6 either 350 or 425 hp states of tune, with a 3.8L V8 producing 560 bhp (568 ps).
