Shipping Ports:

Port Poti and Port Batumi are the ports of the country. Port Poti is the mainly used port of the country.

 

Left Hand Drive:

Left Hand Drive vehicles are allowed to be import in the country.

 

Inspection:

No mandatory inspection is required on used vehicle imported from Japan.

 

Documents Required:

  • The original foreign registration certificate

  • Tag/Title Application, Form MV-1v

  • Bill(s) of Sale

  • Form T-22B

  • Pro forma Invoice(Other documents might be included)

 

Duties & Taxes:

The customer is exempt from import duties. However, must provide a bank guarantee for the amount of VAT (18% of the valued inv. CIF) for the period of the temporary import.

 

 

Note: Vehicles and motorcycles can be imported on a temporary basis for a period of one year. It is possible to extend this temporary import for an additional year maximum. Permanent import of vehicles and motorcycles are subject to the tax and duties as per the customs tariff.
