The first edition of the British Motor Show was organized by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and took place in 1903 at the Crystal Palace (building) in London. the British Motor Show, of course, a vintage event has traditionally meant an unmissable parade of new UK metal. In lean times, the British end was cheerfully held up by TVR (okay, they were plastic, not metal, but you get the drift). Sadly the Blackpool fun factory is no more, and this time we're relying on the Vauxhall Insignia, Lotus Evora, Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed and a smattering of interesting electric cars to fly the Union flag for innovation and style.

Samuel Miles produced the first "official" Chicago Automobile Show in 1901. The event was staged in March of that year at the third Chicago Coliseum located at 1513 S. Wabash Avenue. The 1901 show featured an indoor track for attendees to test drive the ten vehicles exhibited: five electric powered, three steam powered, and two with gasoline engines.

In 1983 we created the first ever UK truck show in the form of Truckfest. Our first Truckfest was held in the snow (believe it or not) at Newark Showground and despite the dreadful weather thousands of truckers and their families turned out to support us and encourage us to make it an annual event. In 1985 we were invited to bring Truckfest to Shepton Mallet and from the word go, it too was a resounding success with over 1,000 Truckers and their trucks attending.
